Internet access. please help?

Mac-C asked:

Hi,

I am currently taking over my company’s network administrator’s job position. this is how it works, we have certain pc’s that run norton anti-virus and some that run AVG. We have a proxy protected network.

I access internet on client’s machine by right clicking on the browser and selecting “Run as” and inputing the administrator user name and password.

however today i had the toughest time of my life when was trying to access the internet on the sales manager’s pc. my trick wouldn’t work and that made me the worst IT ever.

I then tried logging on as the administrator on the PC and still i could access the internet. The IP is within the IP range of the company. I changed the IP address(used one from a working pc) and still I was left without internet access. The PC works fine on the company domain… you can access mails from the exchange server without problem.

Now the question: What the hell is wrong with the settings on the PC? The problem is on two machines…

PLEASE HELP!!!
